The movie Krrish 2 is already in news even before its script has been decided or production has begun, bollypatrika.com quoted on Sunday.

The protagonist in the flick is going to be none other than his own flesh and blood, Hrithik Roshan. His lady love has been finalized as Deepika Padukone.

In the prequel Piggy Chops played his love interest. Rakesh Roshan wanted to rope in Katrina Kaif for Krrish 2 but she turned down the project owing to her busy schedule. So, Deepika was approached and she agreed immediately.

After Kites, Rakesh Roshan wants to take Hrithik Roshan’s career to the next international level. The next instalment of Krrish will therefore be a super-hero film to compete with the Hollywood films of the genre like Batman, Superman and Spiderman.

Confirming these developments, Rakesh Roshan, who has won the ‘director of the decade’ award in Macau says, “The destiny of the next Krrish movie depends entirely on the way Kites goes. Kites director Anurag Basu and I are preparing two different versions of Kites in Hindi and English. The English version will be viewed by our potential buyers in the US. Only then will we move forward with plans on how to release Kites and how to make the next Krrish movie. We should release by December.”

Rakesh Roshan replaces Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra as helmer for the Krrish sequel which will be given its final shape after observing the response to Kites in the international market.

The Roshans are eagerly awaiting the release of their much-hyped international project ‘Kites’. The film deals with a story of love and ensuing deception. The cast includes the painfully handsome Hrithik, Kangana Ranaut, the Latin belle Barbara Mori. The film is almost in the last stages of post production and gearing up for release.

There is buzz in Bollywood suggesting that the next version of ‘Krrish’ will see ’superhero’ Hrithik trying the save the wonders of the world from the bad guys. So the film is sure to span breathtaking locales around the world.

Hrithik Roshan is set to pair with Deepika Padukone this time. According to the latest reports both the stars would be working together in the sequel of Krissh, that was thte mega hit some time back.

According to the sources, script is ready. Hrithik would be seen in a superhero avatar once again. He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World.

For this role Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. The movie will be shot extensively at various foreign locations.

Rakesh Roshan introduced us to a desi version of ET in Koi Mil Gaya in which an extra-terrestrial comes to Earth and gives special powers to the under-developed son ( Hrithik Roshan ) of a scientist.

The theme was carried forward in the film’s sequel Krrish even though the movie dwelt less on sci-fi and more on the superhuman antics of the protagonist. The only sci-fi bit was a special machine that enabled the movie’s villain, a megalomaniac scientist, to see the future.

Now, just around the corner is Love Story 2050 , a futuristic love story and India’s first time travel film set in Mumbai forty-two years from now. In the movie, the protagonists ( Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra ) travel into the future through a special time machine invented by an eccentric scientist ( Boman Irani ). The futuristic Mumbai in the film has flying cars, 200-story skyscrapers, skyrails and personal robots.

Even as it still remains to be seen how authentic a sci-fi film ‘Love Story 2050’ turns out to be, the future of the genre looks promising in Bollywood.

For one, south director Shankar is all geared up to make a big budget sci-fi thriller Robot with Aishwarya Rai and Rajnikant . Secondly, a technically proficient director like Shirish Kunder plans to produce and direct a sci-fi flick. And lastly, Shekhar Kapur is said to be thinking of reviving his shelved ‘Time Machine’.

Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 2 which will roll next year. Incidentally Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra will be directing the much-awaited sequel to Krrish instead of Rakesh Roshan. The Sr. Roshan will produce the film.

Hrithik was very keen to work with Mehra and that’s when Rakesh Roshan decided that Mehra will direct Krrish-2 instead of him.

After the script was ready a senior member in the Roshan camp came up with the brilliant idea of signing Shah Rukh to play the negative lead. The villain in the film will have superpowers, just like Krrish has and the film will be about the clash of these two superpowers. Rakyesh Mehra has already met Shah Rukh who for the same. Shah Rukh has loved the idea and has asked for a detailed narration from Mehra and if all goes well, the film will mount the sets soon.

This will be a casting coup of sorts as, although SRK and Hrithik have worked together in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum earlier, this will be the first time they will be clashing together.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Rakesh Roshan is planning to cast Deepika Padukone opposite Hrithik in Krrish 2. If all goes well, Deepika will be playing the lead actress opposite Hrithik. Earlier, the roles were portrayed by Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra in Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish respectively.

If sources are to be believed, Rakesh Roshan is in talks with the Om Shanti Om actress as he is keen that she be a part of the film.

Although Rakesh Roshan didn’t confirm the news he didn’t deny it either. He says, “Currently I am busy working on two scripts simultaneously ––Krazzy 4 and Krrish 2. If Deepika suits the role I will definitely consider working with her. But, I cannot let you know much at this point because nothing is finalised yet. I will talk about it when the time is right.”

However sources say, “Priyanka was not appreciated for her performance and looks in Krrish. The Roshans wouldn’t like to sign her again. And now, after Om Shanti Om’s success, Deepika seems to be the best choice.”

The buzz going around is that Hrithik is getting impatient after he finished shooting Jodha Akbar which releases early next year. At the moment, he has no films in his kitty.

Trade pundits indicate that even the most seasoned of actors has fears of being left without a film in hand and Hrithik is possibly having the same jitters. Hence, the actor has bid goodbye to his lofty standards and embarked on a film signing spree. As far as Krrish 2 is concerned, the script is far from ready and the Roshans plan to hit the floors only in the second half of 2008.

Tinsel town is a buzz with talks about Shahrukh Khan starring in Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish 2. If sources are to be believed then bollywood’s King Khan and Hrithik Roshan will share screen space together in the sequel to bollywood’s super hit sci-fi Krrish which in itself is a sequel to Koi Mil Gaya.

Grapevine says that Shahrukh Khan gave his consent as soon as he was offered a role by Rakesh Roshan over phone without even enquiring about the movie nor his role. It was only after he received a text message on his phone from Hrithik Roshan that he realised he had just accepted the role of a superhero in Krrish 2. The text message that Hrithik wrote read something like this: “KRRISH IS GONNA KICK KROADHS ASS. U BETTER B IN SHAPE.”

Rumours from a different source says that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing an alien in human form (Kroadh), who cannot be killed. He will initially fight against Hrithik but at the time of the final battle will fight from the same side of Hrithik against the bad.
